Next month, new wave titans The B-52’s are commemorating the 30th anniversary of their classic 1989 album Cosmic Thing with a new expanded edition. The remastered two-LP set includes includes B-sides, remixes and unreleased live recordings from their 1990 Cosmic Tour.
Recorded following the passing of founding guitarist Ricky Wilson, the album was a significant rebound for the band, with “Love Shack” and “Roam” becoming two of their biggest hits ever.
Fun Fact: Six of the album’s 10 tracks (including “Roam”) were produced by CHIC’s Nile Rodgers. The other four (including “Love Shack”) were produced by Don Was.
