Life’s A Trip is the much-anticipated album debut from XXL Freshman rapper Trippie Redd.
More polished and comprehensive than his star-making mixtapes, the album showcases Trippie’s versatility, from spitting insightful lyrics on “Missing My Idols” to emotionally crooning over emo rock-inspired beats on “How You Feel” and “Underwater FlyZone.” Though few and far between, the features add character to the album, making good use of Young Thug and Travis Scott’s combined talent and stardom.
Although Life’s A Trip may be devoid of any radio hits other than “Dark Side Gummo,” it’s a concise and worthwhile journey through the teenage emotions and unconventional mind of Trippie Redd.
