It’s been 20 years since Bill Callahan, then working under the name of Smog, dropped his seventh album, Knock Knock, on Drag City.
While Callahan had already been recording for a decade, this is the album where his now highly revered songwriting fully came into its own. He hasn’t released a bad album since.
