It’s been 50 years since Led Zeppelin released their thunderous debut and took the world by storm, which makes it about time we had a proper film commemorating their mythic legacy.
Don’t worry! They’re not bastardizing the heaviest band to ever live with some crass Bohemian Rhapsody-style biopic. (thank god) It’s a documentary!
While no trailer or title has been released, the movie is being helmed by British filmmaker Bernard MacMahon, who proved himself more than worthy of the task with 2017’s masterful four-part music doc American Epic.
And even more importantly, it will be the first “official” film on the band featuring interviews with surviving members Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones. (Rest in peace, John Bonham.)
